2015年に生産終了となり、67年の歴史に幕を閉じたランドローバー ディフェンダー。
リミテッド・エディションとして、オートバイオグラフィー・エディション、ヘリテッジ・エディション、アドベンチャー・エディションの3種類が用意されました。

ここに紹介する2016年式 ランドローバー ディフェンダーは、
その中の1つ、オートバイオグラフィー・エディションとなります。

過去のディフェンダーと比較してみても、最もラグジュアリーなモデルです。
ボディ上部、ボンネット、フロント・グリル、ヘッドランプ周りはサントリニ・ブラックでペイントされており、ボディ下部は、マットコリスグレーと上品なツートンカラーの車両です。

ドアを開けるとステアリング、ダッシュボード、センターコンソール、ルーフライナーなど、フルレザーインテリアが迎え入れてくれます。
シートはボディと同様、ツートンカラーで作られており、ヘッドレストにはオートバイオグラフィーの刺繍がされています。とても高級感のある空間が広がっています。

通常のディフェンダーと比べ、排気量は変わらず、パワー、トルクはそれぞれ123psから150ps、36.6kg-mから40.8kg-mにチューンナップされています。
ただラグジュアリーなだけではなく、走りにも違いがある1台です。

走行距離は僅か1200km。素晴らしい状態を保っております。

"ランドローバー ディフェンダーの歴史"

イギリス・ランドローバー社が1948年にアムステルダム・モーターショーにて、ランドローバー・シリーズⅠを発表し、生産を始めました。
1958年にはシリーズⅡが発表されます。
シリーズⅠは、これまでに21万台以上のセールスを記録致しました。
その後、1971年にシリーズⅢ。1983年にシリーズⅣと長い時間をかけて進化を遂げていきます。

1990年には、ランドローバーシリーズから、馴染みの深いディフェンダーへと改名します。強靭なラダーフレームのシャシとアルミニウムボディを採用し、各国の軍用車両や警察、消防車両などに多数採用され、たくさんの人々に愛されている車種です。

2013年10月、最新の衝突安全基準や排ガス規制に対応することが難しくなったという理由に、より2015年12月20日を持って生産終了とされることがアナウンスされ、長きに渡りオフロード車の最高峰として製造を続けていたディフェンダー、67年間の歴史に幕を下ろすこととなります。

The Land Rover Defender ended its production of 67 years in 2015. There are three exclusively limited editions: Autobiography; Heritage; and Adventure. Autobiography edition is the most luxurious model of all Defenders in the history.

Upper body, hood, front grill, and headlight areas are in Santorini Black. Lower body is in Bering Grey. When the door is opened, a fancy full-leather view will spread across the dashboard, steering wheel, center console, and roof liner. Both exterior and seats are finished in two-tone and autobiography logo embroidered on the headrests create very elegant space.

Emission is any different from a normal Defender but the power has increased from 123PS to 150PS and the torque was improved from 36.6kg- m to 40.8kg-m. It’s not only the appearance that is remarkable but also the performance.

“History of Land Rover Defender”

Land Rover Series I was introduced at Amsterdam Motor Show in 1948 and that was the beginning of production of the series. In 1958, Series II was announced to be launched. Over 210,000 units of Series I was sold according to a record and the evolution of the series continued through Series III in 1971 and all the way up to Series IV in 1983.

It was in 1990 when Land Rover Series was renamed to Defender. A vehicle with a strong ladder frame chassis and aluminum body have been favored by many people such as worldwide military, police, and fire department.

In October 2013, unfortunately, Land rover announced to discontinue the production of Defender as of 12/20/2015 because of the difficulty complying with the newest collision safety standard and the regulation of emission.
